Gambling - LCCP changes coming into force 31st October 2016

On 31^st October 2016 further amendments to the Licence conditions and codes of practice (LCCP) issued by the Gambling Commission will come into force.

The LCCP is a universal document covering the entire spectrum of licensed gambling businesses.  Although some sections may not be applicable to your business you should be familiar with the LCCP and keep abreast of revisions.  The changes to the LCCP apply both to existing licensees and new Applicants alike, the rules to which your licence is subject can therefore change. 

The Gambling Commission have the power to take action against licensed operators who fail to comply with the relevant LCCPs.

The 31^st October amendments will include:

• The prevention of crime associated with gambling: Amendments to licence conditions and codes of practice (LCCP) for all operators.
• Placing digital adverts responsibly.
• Extending the requirement to assess and manage money laundering risk to non-remote lotteries.
• Controlling where gaming machines may be played in betting, bingo and casino premises.
